We walked the last part of the trail and soon we arrived at the view point looking over El Hoyo de Pelempito. The wind was roaring up there and the cabin, built on the edge of a cliff, was creaking and moving but the view was stunning.

They dropped us off far away from other people and as soon as we touched the water and felt the soft sand between our toes...: "Oh yeah... paradise!" Could this possibly be the best beach in the Dominican Republic?

We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and it was packed with locals. A group of school girls was sharing an enormous bowl of Tom Yum and at the next table an older man was tackling the same sized bowl on his own. And damn, it looked good.
